* In some books (eg. Bloody Shambles Vol1) this serial is listed as AN160, but there were no British serials issued that low (AN168 being the lowest). Now AN168 was used by 67 Sqn in Burma so it can't be that, however it may be AN180 with the confusion arising over the '8' being misread. Anyone able to help with this?
In the above reference is made to 21/453 Sqn which was a merger of 21 and 453 Sqns from 21/12/41 till 27/1/42.
I am seeking USAF Serials for these aircraft.
