Mr AC Smith and killed him. Sgt Sommerville was
charged with Manslaughter but was acquitted, and
was reduced in rank and grounded. Later he
regained flying status. |

was critically injured and later died of those
injuries in Caulfield Repatriation Hospital two
days later. |

flight. Pilot Cadet Leslie Clisby abandoned
aircraft in dive following control problems. The
investigation found that the cause was result of
this aircraft flying into the slipstream of the
lead aircraft, resulting in the "temporary
loss" of controlled flight and that he could
have recovered. |

Failed to recover from a dive 09/10/38 and
crashed. The pilot and passenger were killed.

Collided with Monospar VH-UST 19/11/39over Mascot
and heavily damaged.
Reg cancelled 19/08/40and impressed into RAAF as
A7-112 in UNSERVICEABLE condition.
Returned to Royal Aeroclub of NSW for repair on
16/10/40.
RESTORED to VH-UFV 31/01/41, thus never taken up
by the RAAF!
It had various owners and accidents until the reg
VH-UFV again was reserved for it 15/03/84.
VH-UFV was finally registered to a J C Star,
Walbundrie, NSW on 08/12/94. C/N 1B Registered
VH-ULU on 19/02/03.
