Crew: FLTSGT R.S.Roberts (pilot), PLTOFF Ronald Whitwell (observer), PLTOFF Neville Henrichsen and SGT Bruce Kent (WAGS) uninjured. Damaged 13/01/44 when starboard undercarriage failed to come down on landing. Crashed 19/07/45, Lettes Beach on a instrument flight from East Sale VIC. Pilot FLGOFF Oswald "Ossie" Morgan and FLGOFF Archibald Bruce Hinge was the safety pilot. Port engine caught fire, Prop was feathered and the fire extinguisher didn't work. A wheels up landing was made near Lake Reeve at L bombing range the crew although badly burned survived. Converted to components 07/45.
A9-102Served with 1OTU. Crashed 27/06/44, East Sale VIC when undercarriage was retracted on landing. Pilot; FLGOFF G.F. Tucker. Hull only sold to T Carr & Company. Instruments fitting gear and undercarriage sold to Hughes Trading Co. Some parts of this aircraft are currently housed at Chino, US.
