There is a
possibility that a Camel marked “H7238” served with 4 Sqn AFC. This could be
a simple misreporting of E7238 in the squadron records. However, the serial
block H6843 to H7342 was used to issue new serials to rebuilt aircraft such
as F2b, DH4, DH9, DH9A, Camel, Dolphin, RE8 and SE5a types. It is equally possible
that the serial H7238 was allotted to a rebuilt Camel placed on charge with 4
Sqn or a simple record keeping error has occurred with E7238. |
