THE LOSS OF N739PA "CLIPPER MAID OF THE SEA"  




While approaching overhead Dumfriesshire Scotland, at 19:02:50 having levelled at Flight Level 310 some 7 minutes earlier, a bomb that had been placed aboard the aircraft exploded. The aerodynamic forces acting on the ruptured airframe systematically destroyed the aircraft in flight, and with it 259 lives.

I PRAY THAT THE VICTIMS OF THIS AIR DISASTER MAY ALL FIND A LASTING PEACE AND REALLY BE AT REST-I VISIT THE MEMORIAL GARDEN AS OFTEN AS I CAN AND FEEL CLOSE TO ALL THE VICTIMS.WE MUST NEVER FORGET THAT TRAGIC NIGHT-GOD BLESS.
