NZ277Mk.1499P2030 Mark I. Built by Airspeed Ltd, Portsmouth, England. BOC with Unit No.1, Hobsonville on 04 May 1940 and assembled at No.1 Aircraft Depot. To No.1 OTU, New Plymouth. Disappeared on a machine gunning exercise off the Taranaki coast on 23 October 1942. Extensive searches at the time failed to reveal any sign of the aircraft or it's crew. Pilot Officer Rodney Dandy, Sergeant Graham Martin, Sergeant Edward Dodson and Sergeant Douglas Martyn killed. The wreckage was discovered about 2000 feet up Mount Egmont on 17 January 1974 by a Forest Service hunter. It is believed that the aircraft flew into the valley in bad weather before crashing into the bush. The remains of the crew were recovered by RNZAF Iroquois. Parts of the aircraft were later recovered and are now on display at the Taranaki Aviation, Transport, and Technology Museum.

Disappeared on navigation exercise from Wigram on 26 March 1942. Believed to have crashed into the sea while flying in low cloud and poor visibility. No trace of the aircraft or crew was ever found. LAC Verdun Godfrey, LAC Cecil Cook and LAC Donald Paterson missing presumed killed.
NZ279Mk.1501P2032 Mark I. Built by Airspeed Ltd, Portsmouth, England. BOC with Unit No.1, Hobsonville on 24 April 1940 and assembled at No.1 Aircraft Depot. To No.1 SFTS, Wigram. Crashed at Akaroa at 1130 hours on 15 June 1940. The aircraft stalled and spun into the main street of the town whilst carrying out a steep turn. LAC Francis McFarlane and LAC John McFadyen killed. Parts of this aircraft were possibly used in the construction of INST35 which was allotted to the TTS, Wigram.
