Crew unhurt but aircraft written off.The wreckage was removed to Wigram and broken up with some parts later going to Woodbourne. |

Made a forced landing at Ohakea on 13 Marcg 1961 after the undercarriage jammed up. Flown to Woodbourne without a canopy 4 days later where it was repaired and returned to service. Deployed to Singapore in September 1964 to take part in Operation "Confrontation" against Indonesia. Crashed into sea near Singapore on 30 November 1964 during low level bombing practice at China Rock Bombing Range. The aircraft completed it's bombing run and was pulling away in a banked turn when a wingtip hit the water. Flying Officer Russell Thomson and Flight Lieutenant James Southgate killed. |
